History

Cumberland Electronics Inc. was founded in 1962 in Carlisle Pennsylvania, USA. Originally our business was TV parts, antennas and accessories. Near the end of the 1960's we began to add more industrial based products such as switches, relays and connectors eventually leading to a department specializing in the industrial side of the business. In 1991 the employees completed a buyout of the company from the original founders, (in most cases when you talk to an employee of Cumberland you will be talking to one of the owners). During this period of time we have implemented state of the art, computer systems, warehousing and customer support systems.

We currently operate 3 Sales facilities, the main office is located in Harrisburg PA with branches in Hanover MD, (Baltimore/Washington area) and West Hartford CT. Please stop by any of our facilities, we would be happy to have you as a customer.
